IRS Publication 463 asks you to record, for each business use of the car: the date, your business destination, the business purpose and the miles driven, plus the total miles you drove the car in the year. A log you update at least weekly counts as a timely record. Every PDF from this generator has those columns, your odometer readings and a dated rate summary.
